Default Max abuse LSD?

Hi all,

I was wondering how much abuse a standard ( uprated) ford LSD can take?
Going to buy myself a cts box but thought a stage 1 with an uprated ford lsd would be fine if i don't trash it every week.

The engine it's going on is a 2.0 ZVH running about 1.3 bar.
As the difference in prices between stage 1 and stage 2 (only difference is stage 2 has an quaife dif) is a lot i was wondering if i could get away with the stage 1 box....

Thanx all..

Ok and you'll use the stage 1 box?

My ZVH is currently kicking 215 bhp @ o.7 bar but it ll be close to 250 or so @ 1.3 bar wich it's going to make this summer...

The guy who sells them keeps telling me the ford uprated dif would be to weak ( especialy because the zvh produces masses of torque ) ...... well depending on how you drive it i guess...

What's your oppinion?

grtzz

Ok thanx...

But the internals of the boxes of both stages are the same, only difference is the quaife dif.

If the uprated ford dif gets knackered i can always replace it later and won't have to buy a whole new box i.m.o.

Cheers

Im running 234ft lb torque on my 1.6, and my diesel box with lsd has stood up to well over a year's worth of abuse and hard launching.

So what you're saying is just go stage 1 because the dif can handle the bhp/torque fine?

thanx
