Default General series 1 questions

After about a year of looking at 3drs and waiting for a nice saph to come along then viewing a load of 3drs, i gave up and today bought an S1. Been with only the work van for 6 months now and just need a car so much! The S1 is kind of a fill in as it was at a reasonable price!

Interior is mint! No cracks in dash, next to no wear at all on seats/doorcards, no marks scratchs on windows, bodwork is brilliant with only 2 little marks on the bonnet which i can get sorted out easily! 71k miles on the clock with all tax discs, mots and everything else in a massive folder if receipts! HPI clear, new cliford concept alarm with proxi! months MOT, 4 months tax!

Only bad thing is one of the alloys is kerbed so i'll have to get them refurbed!

Basically i want to tidy up the engine bay a little! Make it look nice! It's been looked after but i want a few bits under there! Don't really want to chrome it up, just hoses and few bits! Best site to get them from price wise???

+ the boot lifters have gone. Anywhere i can get a pair of them from? I'm guessing i can pick them up from most places! Havn't realy looked to be honest!

One other thing is i don't like the brakes!!! First time i've driver an S1 and first time i've had a car without power steering! Whats the best upgrade i can do??? Powerwise it's got a print out for 169bhp. Not too sure what its had done and neither does the owner of it as he's hardly ever used it and hasn't bothered finding out whats gone on under the bonnet! Standard S1 brakes are just pants!!! Want to stop sharpish!!

Other than that i'm happy and all is well i think!!
