do people with s2's vent to atmosphere or back into the metering head? I was under the impression that when the oil cap was taken off the rocker on a s2 the car would stall and likewise with any other part of the breather system?

yeah prob would, youd need to turn the idle up and prob have it set up to benefit
mines now that its been vented to atmo runs spot on,no more jerkin about cruisin or more importantly no more oil in the meterin head, intercooler and boost pipes

i was lookin at a catch tank and was thinking i could use it in the same was as a breather as the bailey breathers are just a bacis tank with 2 exits at top 1 at bottom...... same as a catch tank i was lookin at

but bail oil separators cost like £90 to £120 where as a catch tank is £30

....surley they can be used in the same way?

it willhelp as it means your oil vapour wont be going back into the metering head,

just take the pipe from your standard breather, and send that to your catch tank, then block the metering head off

Just to confuse things, some catch tanks have a vented cap that would act as the breather.
