Default Escort RS Turbo misfire

i have just got an rs turbo and it is misfireing if i put my foot down in 4th and 5th gear. once i get past about 3500 rpm it stops doing it. its really annoying. DOES ANY ONE KNOW WHY????? PLEASE SOMEONE HELP

Hello. I have misses too if that you mean.
Can be many thing. I hope you are good at engines.

Bad plugs
Bad leads
Bad rotor or dizzy cover
Cold start valve leaking
and much more but I will tell you what my problem was.
My car misses and would not run correct at full throttle. After many many houers in the garage I figure out that the hose from the air unit was old and collapsed when the turbo started to boost. When I tooked it of I could see from the hose and from the air unit a lot of oil. That oil comes from the ventilation located on top of the rocker cover or the turbo itselves.

I plugged the ventilation and made a steel constuction between the unit and turbo. Cleaned from oil and fitted the stuff.

No misses and the cars flyes now. Good luck over there.

well i might be a girl but i know what im going on about. when i phoned to order the plugs and leads they said that there is a few different types of plugs. which one do i get

the rs is running at 190bhp. what plugs do i need to put in it

Air leak i expect, once you get so far up the rev range the air leak isn't significant enough to cause the apparent missfire.
