Default Sierra 1600 to 2000

Hello, I'm from Romania, I'm verry inloved with FORD (I had 2 Taunus) now I bought a Sierra 1600 (55KW - 73 HP) a few weeks ago.
I have a question for all of you.... can I make my engine from 1565 cc, a 1993 cc ???
My engine type is:
bore 81,32 mm
stroke 76,95
The 2,0 engine is:
bore 90,80mm
stroke 76,95
I'm thinking to enlarge my engine block to 90,80mm, to buy pistons and put'em in my engine. Can you think this is possible ???
I'm not a very good writer of english, so I hope you understand what I wrote here.
Good luck

It is possible, but you will need head work and a cam change to make the most of it. If you can find a 2.0 engine it will be a simple engine swap.

You can come and join many other Sierra owners here:

PS Your English is very good.

Thank you for your fast reply.
Changing the engine doesn't thrill me because I have to "run" a lot for papers (we have stupid laws).
Is there anyone here on forum (or somewhere else) who did this thing (I'm referring to the 1,6 engine enlargement)
Good luck to all of you.
