Default Series 1 RS Turbo wiring loom

Hey guys, i was wondering if one of you is kind enough to send me a picture of the Series 1 RS Turbo wiring loom diagram. I need to mod the loom and take out all the unneccesary's before it goes into the kit car. There is so much of it!!

Regards

i dont have a diagram all the engine loom, you need really. the extras inside electric windows central locking etc is just pluged in with a spade connector and then earth onto the body the only wires u might have to strip out the loom is the radio wireing its easy once the dash is off

Are you just wanting to remove the management wiring so you can use a RST engine in a kit car?

Hi, Thanks for the repsonses! Yea i have a complete wiring harness in my garage that includes front lights, fuse box and the underdash wiring too including ignition etc. I only want the bare minimum to get the engine to run. So basically all lighting circuits etc i want removed. It would take me forever and a day to trace every wire and its alot easier to know what they do!!!

mudgey, the best way to do this.......

Would be to sell the S1 loom on eBay and fit EFI

trust me on this, you don't want to fit MFI on your kit car

Hiya guys. Its too much hassle to fit EFI after all thats bin done so far. The advantages of EFI over MFI for the amount of power im going to get out of it arent going to be all that beneficial to warrent the extra hassle. If i did another car with another engine then i would definately do it!

I duno how you can say that!

A fiesta XR2i loom, OFAB/OFAC ECU and MAP sensor, EFI conversion plate, and few other bits and bobs!

MFI is seriously poo, even on a standard engine. I wouldn't advise my worst enemy to fit MFI on their car

Hi, ok, that doesnt seem like a lot of parts! However i would have 2 fit a flywheel that has the holes for the crank sensor. or is there another way? The flywheel on mine atm doesnt accept the std fiesta clutch, also the splined main shaft in the RWD gearbox is different to that of the fiesta. I believe the flywheel on the car atm is from a std N/A CVH and accepts a smaller diameter clutch and clutch plate.

What size flywheel have you got now then? Im guessing 200mm which is a Series 1 Flywheel. They all changed to 220mm flywheels on later cars and is the same for the FRST, and this is what you want really, bigger clutch, less slippage

You can fit a trigger wheel to the alternator pulley end of the crank if you wish.

You'll need an EFI inlet aswell obviously, but seriously, it would be so worth it

I stripped a RHD S1 loom down to the engine wiring only and fitted it to my LHD MK3...... was a pain in the arse. I'll probably re-do it though as I wasn't happy with the results.
I'd be interested seeing any engine wiring diagrams too.

Hey guys, ive thought long and hard about it and i want to go EFI, it does make sense to be honest, and i wont be happy until ive done it! I would prefer not to pull out the engine again and will have 2 fit a trigger wheel to the pulley, are there CVH's out there with this already done? Is the trigger wheel part of the auxilary pulley?

Can someone tell me some more information about the crank sensing on the pulley side rather than from the flywheel.

Regards, Mudge

the 1800 sierra cvh has all the necesary parts like the cps sensor and pully 36-1 teeth which is ideal. The crank sensor is mounted on the timing belt cover but i have just cut it down to suit my engine.
