It's not easy. I have had 2 or 3 done now and the biggest problem is that they aren't made from the best quality metal, so getting them machined is tricky.

My latest one has steel-sleeves pressed in, which are a machined fit for the injectors and is spot-on, but this was expensive. I got a local machining company to do it.

Oh, also, it doesn't stop at getting the Injectors fitted, of course mounting points are needed for the Fuel Rail and I also completely reworked the throttle body mount on mine too (compare it to other's that have a similar conversion and you will see what I mean).

Pics to follow.

You can see from this pic, the mounting points I added for the Fuel Rail and also the quality of the work to re-mount the throttle body (so as not to have to go all the way round the back of the Brake servo).

Christian and Beccy, surely would it not be easier to have the 3i plenum cut off and fabrictaed to mount onto the bottom half of an EFI manifold?

That way you can also get further up inside the ports to polish/match them aswell?

XR2, you will notice if you look very hard the lugs for the fuel rail to bolt to, and im assuming Christian still runs the standard injector plate modified to accept electronic injectors

Why do you people (Christian and Hansen) go for these types of manifolds anyway? Imo Side feed manifolds don't have equal air distribution to the cylinders
