Hi all,

I got a Koni adjustable kit from a PF member last year, and have discovered one of the springs has broken.

Does anyone know if I can stick another manufactured spring on there, or does it have to be a Koni ... I'd rather avoid taking the lot apart, just replace the spring (or both front springs) if possible.
I don't mind paying a little extra to keep them matched ... just wondering if it matters what make of spring to get (suggestions ?)

 

Best to get two new springs mate and they dont have to be koni

 

Theoretically, you can replace the springs in pairs, though it is more sensible to replace the set, unless you know for sure what they are.

I can supply -25mm Cobra springs that a few people on here (me included) use for £95 inc delivery.

 

Is that a set of 4 25mm springs for £95 ?
Are cobra any better/different to Koni ?

Just found the post that I repsonded too on here in March '06, and its Koni adjustables at the front and Ford badged adjustables at the rear.
... aparently the springs were spec'd by Ahmed Bayjoo

I wouldn't mind it being lowered, but having the 3" bore Mongoose exhaust and the roads down here don't really get along all too well if I had it lowered ... I think

Just phoned APT, about if the delivery charge would change to the Isle of Wight, and the guy said it would be best to ask you ?

Any idea how much it would be just for the 2 front springs, and whats the likelyhood of getting them by tomorrow ?

 

I must be doing something wrong.
Can't find any site online that sells the Koni springs (searched for 3 hours so far), or sites that do list the springs don't list any ealier than mk5 Escort.

The UK Koni office hasn't called me back with a price on the springs, they said the main office is always slow at phoning back.

 

Most Koni suspension kits for RST are anyhow sold with other springs than Koni badged. Don't really think Koni even makes springs themselves.

 

they certianly didnt use to, but are now advertising there own make Springs. Whether they actually make them, who knows.


I have a brand new set of rear cobra's for sale, front ones soon too. Are very nice quality.
