Norton Firewall / Internet Security has a habit of blocking out pic's from photobucket, and the smilies being animated. You have to add www.passioford.com and www.photobucket.com to either application in order for it to work properly

hi there all
i to am occasionally experiencing this problem though not all the time and only with pictures sometimes all i get is little boxes with red crosses in them when i right click on them and select show picture occasionally this cures it and the picture is displayed but not always.
It is my work computer which is supplied via a server and i don't know what security they use
Any ideas how to solve.?

dazzle, you won't be able to get round that yourself m8, and persoanlly, unless you get on well with the IT department, I'd live with it m8.

Dave,

Your only possible solution would be to reinstall windows I think. Normal explanation for a pic not wokring is if the hosting site is down, or the link is broken.

foound the answer

Open your ZoneAlarm settings.
Double click the icon on your toolbar to open it.
Go to the settings for 'privacy'. Under 'ad blocking' click the 'custom' button.
Under 'ads to block' you will see three settings, one of them is 'animation'. Make sure it is not checked. If it is, uncheck it. Click the 'apply button at the bottom.
You should be all set. I hope this works for you!
