Hey guys,

This is my first post on these forums so thought I'd try and make it a good'un

Here's my second van I owned, 275 bhp @ crank and 242 @ wheels.

And then someone decided to not bother stopping and the following happened just 48 hours of owning it

But all is not lost, I have meself a new van. Didn't have much luck with this one neither. Only really bought it for the body work with the view in mind to change the engines over at a later date. Drove it all the way back from Scunthorpe and just as I arrive in Bristol it conks out never to be started again No spark at the plugs so am now going to be slinging the turbo lump over the next few months, will keep a step by step diary as I'm doing it if anyone is interested

I'll upload images of this van later

Yea I managed to get it for £3000. Worth it imo....or woulda been if it was still running

It is absolutely sound, has been re-shelled and the whole underneath has been treated with that oil stuffs.

The engine itself is sweet but for some reason has lost spark. Have been told by the RAC that it is defo the ignition module, but I have bought 3 from local scrap yards and still no spark Auto electricians round ere are useless as they don't seem to want to come out and diagnose the problem which imo is a bit rubbish of them So am now going to fit the engine from my RS Turbo and the wiring loom from the smashed van into the good van, and the fast engine into the escort

£3000! really christ that was good, like i say i was gonna part with £4200 but he backed out at last min, dont think he really wanted to sell it, cant blame him i wouldn't of to.

Zetec lump wasn't it? in twin 40. she went well then?

When you get five bud couldn't take some pics of the back door, liked the way he hinged it. Wanted to find out how he mounted the catch etc?

What was with the big box in the back? could never make it out in the pics? looked about the same hight of the back window.

Sweet van tho m8 well done would love to see it.

£150 jammy so and so wish i could find one

i had one a few years back as a field car (well van) aquired it for nothing previous owner was caught drink driving...it had hit a lamp post front bumper had a crack that were it, anyway it sat in my field for months oneday i had nowt todo so through a gallon of red diesel in it hotwired it within a few minutes...........then couldnt get the damn steering lock off, a chap came to pick up a P100 in a mk4 turbo van so i asked him how to get the lock off it........he grabbed the wheel and twisted it with a bit of force CRUNCH

anyway i fired it up 10 minutes later id busted the engine mounts and torn a driveshaft..........my first FWD motor FWD's cant take my field driving eeventually the head gasget went so pissed oil everywhere and it was scvrapped

id love one now especially with college coming to an end ill need a tidy little work van

just brought myslef a run around & couldnt not buy this for £160! (tax & tested for 4 months)

its run under bonnet etc..... as its an ex post office van but battey tray, fuse box, inner wings, fllors are all unwelded & original!

would be an ideal doner/project van buy sum nuggets cut a sunroof in it (might get the welder out when im finished with it & see what i can do. lol)

spent 2day lowering it all round & throwing a set of rs turbo rims on 2 tidy it up, looking cool now.

heres my effort ,wanting to change engines but unsure of what to fit ,can get s2 rear damaged turbo for 500 notes but need van for towing and 1800 diesel is pathetic ,any ideas?

my spec is 90 spec full interior inc dials (although the rev counters stopped working as has fuel and temp)
90 spec front bumper and s1 wheels ,although i have 3dr cossies to fit when i get round to lowering it
e/w ,e/m and central locking inc rear door

always looking to find out more info but there never seems to be any posts on these

blah blah blah heres the pics
