Default ABS

Decided to remove the abs while i've got the engine out as its more accessible. But have a few questions.
Is it just a case of binning the modulators and related brake lines and remaking the lines directly from the master cylinder to the t pieces on either wing or do i need to remove the load compensators on the rear arm and use a fixed rate compensator on the O/S front wing like non-ABS escorts??

Any info would be great

Cheers

Pete

Pete, my RST was done that way you described above and worked perfectly. I didnt have any load compensators, just a straight copper brake pipe from the master cylinder to the front brakes. So yes i would do it that way

Front: std sized RST Tarox groved and drilled, Ferodo DS2500 pads

Rear: Mintex Rear shoes and std drums, very well adjusted

Fluid : Autopart Dot 5.1

Hoses : Goodridge Braided

ABS removed, rear load compansators kept

No problems at all on track days, DEFO no fade from the fluid and IMO worked as well as a Set of "large" AP's and rear disc conversion on a well known RST
