Are Inner & Outer CV Joints Servicable?
There like a rubix cube...........only with ball bearing.
With the cv off and in yer hand you can push the cage round until one ball is clear, pop it out with a scredriver and repeat. If you go directly oposite and remove that ball the full cage shoulod come free and you can pop the rest of the balls out easy enough.
You'll notice the joint is...........cut with a thick space then a thin between each recess where the balls sit, when building it back up it'll only go in one way iirc. Place the empry cage in the cv at 90 degrees, then place one ball in a rotate it into the recess, push it right down and place the opposite in and work your way round.

what is wrong with yours are they clicking because if they are greasing them or cleaning them won't do you will find the cage or joint is worn bluing of the ball and cage will be evident

When you strip it you see any damage. The point where they run the most will have a shine to it, that ok but if they have a groove worn in then i'd replace em. The balls and recess where they run must not be pitted either.
On rebuild i tend to build em up clean and dry then fill the cv...er backwards/inside. You want to get the greae to the back(where you cant see) first then rotate the cage and grease each ball then do the front. With most repair kits you'll get a sachay(sp) of grease, i use one full sachey per cv.

The ball bearing outers can be a right fook on to get backtogether
, the inners are usually the tri pod type with needle roller bearings and are a piece of cake to do
As long as every thing is ok just clean up and add fresh grease and boot, if not its time for a new one as don't think you can buy the individual parts

nothing is wrong with the CV joints as far as im aware, just doing a full resto, so seems silly not to service all items.
Will clean them built up first for an inspection, then see if they need to be stripped or simply regreased.
cheers for the info
