I'll start

June 2000 class C/2, Flat bed 10 ton Iveco stright 6 gearbox

July 2000 class CE/1, same as above but with draw bar trailer attached

Same dates as you for both tests.
Can't remember much about the lorrys tho. I think they were both 30-40ft Volvos, Rigid was a straight 6 box and the artic was an 8 speed splitter.

Not got my HGV..........But I passed my PSV (Catagory D and I also aquired a D1 aswell) in a Mk1 Short bodied Leyland National with an 11 litre Volvo Turbo engine - went like stink for a bus

PCV........

PSV was before april 91, only reason i know is i passed in feb 91 .....and was one of the last to be issued a psv badge.

as for hgv , 89 aged 17 , bedford tm awd

Class2 - Nov 2002 - Scania Rigid 8 speed 4 over 4.

Class1 - Dec 2002 - Daf 95 Unit 16 speed box 4 over 4 w/split. 40ft box tandem axle trailer.

Ive got my course coming up in a wee while, clearway wanted 2 grand for the whole lot but a haulage client at work that i look after is putting me through as an employee for 180 quid

merc summit or other with a curtain sided body on.
passed 2005.

I dont personally think that you should be able to do c+e in a draw bar flat.. as how many will drive these afterwards? and they are very different to a 16'5 curtain sided artic..

how have you boys been getting on in the wind last couple of days???

not nice is it, plenty of spare pants needed at times as we are always running high and low weight, not a good combination in the wind.

I straight bar'd a oversized 18T rigid with a tractor unit from Kirkham(preston) to Widnes last night in heavy cross winds & torrential rain .
The lad in the rigid had brown undies when we got back to the workshop

class 1 march 2005 renult premium 8 speed with spliter and 40ft curtain sider.
curently driving tippers and loving it
bit mad past 2 days tipping in the 75mph wind tho

and yes the wind yesterday WAS entertaining down blackpool sea front on my lessons!
