Standard I would think the much more modern Golf would win at both. Even though its a fatboy at nearly 1600kg!!!!

But who the hell would have a standard Escos?!?

The Golf would not see which way a stage 3 Cossie went in my opinion.

the golf is 2 seconds quicker round the top gear track than the frs
although i'm sure thats a misprint on the website

and then you look futher down and they have another r32 a second slower

so on that basis, if the frs is slower than the escos then the golf would be left behind, but probably not standing

**Standard EsCos** are very dissapointing

As a kid I loved the look of them, the local doctor had a brand new mallard green one... when I drove one a few years later I thought.. oh is that it?

My gf has a mk4 R32 Golf, very good car, especially in the wet.. at Spa

cossie must be 200 kgs lighter even in standard form i doubt there would be much in it.
