Help

I've installed TomTom6 onto my XDA, and it starts and works fine with one exception, it doesnt seem to have any voices!.

The voices folder on the SD Card is there, but when I goto the voices selection options, none of them are selectable, asif they are not installed!

Anyone got any ideas? I assume if I installed one of the comedy voices from here that they'd work, but ideally I just want the standard UK Female tomtom voice to work!

Ah, should have waited 5mins before posting

Twas easy to fix - goto TomTom Plus on device, and then goto download voices, selected Jane UK, and hit download....working now

 

is TT6 much better than TT5?

i use tomtom MOBILE now and thay havent release v6 for that yet, just wondering if it's much different tho

 

Dunno really Jim, been a while since I used 5.

It's a very standard looking Tomtom, same layout as everything really (as TT5 used to be, and Tomtom go is) from what I have seen. Has all the usual stuff like cameras, POIs, looks a bit prettier I guess, more refined, but very much the same as it ever was I think in terms of functionality, not sure if I'm missing something! It's got stuff like pick an arrival time too (What time do you wish to arrive) etc

One thing that bugs me, thats might just be me doing it wrong, if I goto Navigate to, then Postcode, it only allows you to enter XX12 1. Rather than a full postcode of XX12 1AB. Which is rather annoying, I'm sure they can do it though - any ideas?

TT6 has full postcode plus few ova features. Which phone you using TT5 on? I got TT6 on my N73.

 

How do you do full postcode search then mate?! When I goto Naivgate To - Address - Postcode it doesnt give me a full postcode option.

Just goes XY12 1 (then the name of area)

 

Is there not settings in preferences? Mine was like it straight away. I will have look on phone.

 

you can't have the postcode file loaded then if it's doing that. on TTN5 it was a seperate zip file on the SD card

 

I have a backup of my pukka tomtom one V2 SD card if thats any use to anyone?

 

I got TT6 aswell if thats any use to anyone.
