No, Rod is nowhere near yet in real terms mate!

Mclaren F1 = 28
Rods = 24
Veryon = 20

So he is only halfway between the two so far.

At the moment if Rod was parked and a mclaren went past at 70mph, Rod would get to 200mph first.

But the veryon could give it a 100mph headstart instead!

I hate the fact that i've never seen the Veyron's Lap times compaired to other supercars. Topgear didn't test it on there track - Does anyone know who has??

Im trying to.

Norris pisses it at the 100mph mark, but doesnt lower down, so guessing the 150 is even quicker, if i could find out what that is...

Mine beats a Macca 1 easily, (28secs) but not the mighty Veyron. We would settle for 0-200 in 21 secs, this is the Target. 24 at the mo, but another 150 horses next time, no chance of beating the Veyron to 200 im afraid may hold him to 180 though, then the taxi sign gives too much drag. .

Chip much faster than that, we have a 12.7 already, but more Power & longer gearing may mean we cant now beat that PB.
Veyron in the 11's no doubt. Simon/Martin maybe Faster, mine aint got going to 170 & then its mentally fast.

I suspect the curve will not be a linear relationship one.

Veryone is probably quicker at bottom end due to traction, slower in the midrange due to power weight, then quicker again at the top end due to power versus aerodynamics.

Thats actually exactly what happens with a phase 1 calibra turbo engine in a nova versus a stage 3 4wd cossie.

Published road tests have indicated that the Veyron takes about 2.8 seconds to reach 60 mph and just 5.5 seconds for 100 mph. Bugatti says top speed is 252 mph, but that's only allowed in a special mode activated via a separate key. Normally, top speed is limited to a (mere) 233 mph.
The Veyron is the fastest production car to reach 100 km/h with a time of 2.5 seconds. It also reaches 200 and 300 km/h in 7.3 and 16.7 seconds respectively.
0-62 2.5
0-125 7.3
0-186 16.7

Can't verify the figures though ....

Also found...

Zero to 60 mph (97 km/h): 2.5 s
Zero to 100 mph (161 km/h): 5.5 s
Zero to 150 mph (241 km/h): 11.3 s
Zero to 200 mph (322 km/h): 22.2 s
Zero to 250 mph (402 km/h): 55 s

Would probably beat that 0-200 time, but the 0-250 could orove a problem . Those times are insane for a Production car.

Tell you what gear Martins & the Norris EVO to do 250mph , trim them up & then see how they compare . Its an awesome car that Veyron, may even swap mine for it .

Just another slant, with a 0-250mph time of 55 seconds, I wonder how much distance the car would cover to achieve that!!

Just one of those silly curiosity questions really.

Think they are about that anyway actually. I remember reading that the quoted power figure is a minimum that they produce. Normally its more. Altitude and fuel obviously have an affect I suppose...

They definately have more than the quoted 1001bhp though I think
