Has anyone succesfully used a zetec 2.0l loom and ecu from a mondeo when converting their fast ford to 2ltr zetec power. My self and my mate have stripped out the old cvh from his xr2 and replaced it with a 2ltr lump from a mondeo , but are having trouble with the wiring side of the conversion. i know a few people have done the conversion with the 1800 zetec engine ecu and loom, but it seems to diffrer from the 2ltr wiring loom. Can anyone help?

 

a fiesta si zetec loom works , or use the engine loom from the mondy , and conect the other 10 wires to the xr2 loom not hard really , theres loads of diagrams about on the net , check out www.xrtwo.com theres a zetec room in there , and diagrams showin what wires go were, if i was you i would put the ecu insdie the car behind the dash tho

 

What other ten wires are these then, i have an early mondeo loom and have three round multi-plus which i obviously need to connect to the xr2 but which go where?

Got the car running on the 2Ltr loom but the engine runs very lumpy and seems to lack power? anyone any ideas??
