A mate of mine is going to run aftermarket ecu with sequential injection with coils per plug on a Zetec, he's running some kent cams so he plans to drill and tap the cam and fit some treaded rod or bolt for the sensor pick up as kent dont machine the cams with one.
he just wants to know were abouts on the cam should he fit a pick up point for the cam sensor?

that will largely be dictated by the exact system he wants to use, and what it requires in terms of cam sensor position.
It may be worth considering if sequential injection is beneficial enough to warrant the work required to modify the cam?? It will really only benefit low speed/load running and maybe emissions, the benefits will be small IMO. The coils can be operated in wasted-spark pairs mode.

You could maybe ask on the DTA forum

I know I tried on my P8pro to get sequential working...lets just say it was very problematic, and i gave up, which seemed to be quite common.
The S-series is supposed to be much better though.
Another option would have been just to use an aftermarket ecu that will already work off all the Ford triggers, and run sequential too...
Really does save a lot of messing about.

Looking at the S60 manual it appears the cam sensor position is one of the user settings, the accceptable range shown as "-360deg to +360deg" so in effect it seems like you can position the cam sensor target anywhere you like provided you can determine where it is to input the position value into the ECU setup.
