L8 ecu and p8 ecu how to tell the,m apart also what way could you tell if ther is a correct pectel bord in there as my one says pectel and has 2 chips that say cpv2 on 1 chip cpv2 on chip 2 and 3 other location for chips

standard L8 has a co screw P8 doesn't!

thanks m8 my bord has the larger chips like the first chip you have but 2 more below it like the pic above 3 big chips in a row and on the sides i have 2 small ones like yours but on the side with cpv2 on them any idea

Some early p8 ecu's had co% screw fitted.

As said by David Reader above (Senna) The Early P8 ECU DID have a CO adjuster screw although it does not work.


The easy way to tell is by looking at the mother board.

A L8 comes with baby board
A P8 does not and also will not have the plug for it.
