Nice edit Jim!

Yeah, I've used them on the Mondeo. They're good little all rounders, but a bit soft. Avoid Premium Contact though, they're as soft as shite.

Jim,

There was a very good tyre test in Autocar some years back especially pertinent to you as they used an M3 as the test mule. I did a copy for Mr Brannen some while back.

In the wet, out the mainstream tyres tested, GY F1s were by far the best. Unfortunately they were by far the slowest tyre out the mainstream ones in the dry although they do lose grip progressively.

That is generally the case with F1s in most tyre tests no matter what the test car.
Continental were pretty good in the dry, not so great in the wet................everything is a trade-off

Jim i put those on my E36 M3 and they were fanstatic. I recommend them.

They are what the factory put on them as well by the way.

Really?

Mine wore out in about 6K miles, every other tyre I've had on the same car has done over 10K.

Just thinking, my mate's mrs had them on her broomstick. They wore out real quick on that too, and she drives like.... well, a girl!

Gary - 100% Positive.

I've used both Premium and Sport 2.
