I also found out prices for the PRO version with Data logging, overlay video footage with the software. Awesome bit of kit for the money:

DigiDash systems can be used on any vehicle, running any ECU, as all sensors are included in the DD2 package. The is no direct connection to the ECU apart from the tachometer feed (if available from the ECU).

This does however mean that the DigiDash coolant temperature sensor will have to be fitted in addition to an OE or stand-alone ECU coolant temp sensor.
This is normally done with a coolant hose adapter which is fitted in the top radiator hose (available from various sources such as Demon Tweeks) See attached pic.

Most of the ECU's (particularly OE) won't be monitoring oil pressure and oil temperature (these sensors won't be present on the OE engine - only a low oil pressure switch which is replaced with the DD2 pressure sensor), and some stand-alone systems such as KMS for example use our oil pressure sensors anyway!


So what do you guys think? worthwhile proposition?

 

looks a little christmas crackery to me, but if it does all u need it to then its a worthwhile purchase.

i would spend the little extra and get an AIM MXL dash.

 

aye it does look a bit gash, but its half the price and it uses the standard warnings to pass an MOT.

I think ill have a closer look at the autosport show then ill see which one is gonna be best

 

warning indicator setups are very cheap to buy and pretty simple to wire up if thats all thats holding you back.

yeah I know, i can get em for about 30quid. Its just an all in one unit which attracts me, nice and neat, no need for any gauges or anything.
You had any experiance with any other data loggers?

Im gonna get round to see them at the autotsport show and see if i can get a cash deal done

 

the aim mxl is next on my list

ive been playing with software and it looks ace

 

personally i dont see the point in them unless its a race car.

cars that are setup perfectly shoudnt need logging IMO.

unless its for a specific purpose. i.e testing.

 

aye will be for testing and setting up as its gonna be quite a unique car!
May be competeing the following year too in rallycross

 

im also looking at this one:



Along with a DL1 dtatlogger with 10hz GPS so no need for speed sensors and will get better processing from the results.

Its about £1k but looks a lot better than the gash above
