Default TalkTalk Broadband problems

Does anyone else get bb off TalkTalk? Back in november we swaped our phoneline to TalkTalk and took their free broadband offer, which was supposed to go live on 25/12. Rung them up today cos we hadnt received any cd pack or modem for broadband only to find out that, according to them the 8meg bb isn't available in our area. Cant understand why we weren't contacted and told this, apparently it'll now go live in 10days. Also, for a service that is meant to be free, how come we are being charged for it? Their call centre operators are just full of excuses, at least those that we could understand were, most of the ppl we spoke to seemed to only speak very bad broken english.

I moved over to them as I already have the phone line with them!

I'm now back with BT as Talk Talk were fooking useless to say the least None of them that you speak to are english, the modem I wanted needed to be able to connect 2 pc's, when finally the modem come through,,,,was tiny & could only take one pc When I called them and asked WTF was going on, they said they could never do this anyway

After numerous amounts of phone calls & me getting very wound up, I@m now back with good ole faithfull BT & as I went back to BT even though its not free like Talk Talk, BT done me a better deal for going back to them

to Talk Talk & to BT.

The Talk Talk broadband deal was on Watchdog the other month.
Service was very poor and most people hated it.

We've just spoke to BT, going back to them now. TalkTalk have charged us for a broadband service which is meant to be free, haven't provided the service requested and are now trying to charge us for leaving! No way are we paying, we've just joined the long list of ppl to complain to Trading Standards about the service we've received.
