Default ## Cossie chips /FAO STU##

If a chip has a turbo type on the wee sticker on top does that mean its only mapped for that specific turbo ???

Or can it be fitted and as long as the car is set up on the rollers it will be fine ??

Car is stage 3 ,turbo is T35 and sticker on chip says T34

Any info would be appreciated incase ive boobed

Thanks

If you have went from a T34 with the .63 housing to a turbo technics T35 they have a .55 housing so will be slightly over fueling i guess.

well in that case the fueling will be slightly out at points of the rev range, but best wait for Stu or one of the other tuners to give you an exact answer.

The turbo is still a T03/4B (T34) whatever TurboTechnics want to call it. A T34 with a .55 housing is a downgraded T34 and a T34 with a .48 housing is downgrade further.

All depends what spec turbo the chip was wrote for but I would probably guess it was for the .63 rear end. If so, there will be more safety margin in using a chip for a bigger housing on a car with a smaller housing.

Forgot to mention, a real T35 is actually a diesel turbo for a DAF truck. It wouldn't survive the heat from a petrol engine if used hard.
