did you pay by card?

possibly they would refund/credit it with a statement showing the transaction

you only have to prove you brought it from there and the date, as said you just need a statement stating the amount and date and where the money went. not sure about no box tho?

was beaten it to. and now just realised you said you did have the box.

Why when loads of other stores could stock the same item in the same packaging!?

You HAVE to have proof of your purchase!

well i use to work for them and as long as it came up on the till or still sold it than you could refund it. i.e if it was there own branded item your fine. also what did you pay with. if it was card than it takes 3-4 days to go back on.

hope this has helped. good luck

I tried returning an Xbox 360 game and was told they don't allow refunds on entertainment goods (CD's, DVD's etc) due to piracy.

The only reason I got my money back was because I demanded the store manager and I was smarter than him

thank you.

dont get involved if you don't know....it doesnt really matter to them if you bought it from them or not, they will sell it on for the same amount anyway they aren't losing any money.
they dont HAVE to do it, but most do....i took something back to debenhams the other day, dont have a clue where it came from initially but they checked it on their system, it showed so they exchanged it.
