STEREO.....when driving ur car (noisy car owners)....I dont give a fuck what u've got or paid for I.C.E.....i seem to start off with the stereo on and then i think the car sounds better and turn it off.....am i just listening for shit to fall off or break......is it a cossie thing or what...????

 

As much as I love to hear the pops and bangs from my exhaust, i use my stereo most of the time to mask all the clunks and rattles my ST seems to have acquired. Plus i do a lot of motorway driving and 3500rpm in 5th isn't fun to listen to for very long.

 

depends what mood i am in and why i am driving, if it's just a ride down town or something then yeah the radio will stay on, if i'm caining it i'll turn it off so can hear if anything is about to go wrong!

 

like to listen to the car ,as you never know when somthing will miss or fall off

 

Iv just took my expensive kenwood unit out and put my old ford CD player back in, mainly because i only listen to the radio!

when i drove through kingscross the old bill was nicking someone and they all stopped and looked at the car screaming like that


next thing i remember is the car locking up when i dropped it down to third to overtake a slow wanker on junction road, archway,,,,,,,,,,, at the fucking bottle neck section and i actually caused a traffic jam,,,,, the car was facing up hill


THOUGH i i felt a total tool,,,, the traffic warden with a attitude who kept calling me "son" to finished every sentance looked a bigger cunt when he DEMANDED i get in the car to steer whilst he pushs the car 5 feet forward up hill


he then shouted to take off the handbrake,,,,, then i told him the box is stuck in gear




so i do hope thats a straight cut gearbox,,,,, if nit your box is PROPER FOOKED or if neither you co driver really fucking dont trust your driving and screams like a 15 year old getting it anal

 

i never listen to my radio, i even have the std ford bits in, its never on, just love the sound of the engine. even better with the ALS on !!!

 

Its been like that for the last 13 years mate.... even if the co-driver is screaming I can't hear him

Thing is, i find the stock ford unit actually sounded better than my old jvc then i got a kenwood jobbie which sounded better(but i dont normally have it on anyway, the front lives in the glovebox)

 

Same as that but when I had my cossie the paranoia kept the stereo off most of the time

Normally I listen to a bit Iron Maiden, AC/DC or the like when just out and about but when its time to play it gets switched off so I can listen to the car. And if theres another car involved then my window goes down a couple of inches so I can hear what thats doin too!!

 

Not had music in my mini for 2 years... Dont intend to either, Wouldnt mind a sccr box for it tbh lol

I've always got CD's slamming out of any car I own, love music, don't give a fuck about engine noise!

 

Not got big tunes in mine ,,,,,,,but if you hear a noise from the car it normally broke already so ncuk it

 

Funny really even with all that screaming going on I can actually hear when somethings not right or an odd knock or rattle begins to occur.

I had a new Kenwood unit put in the cossie earlier this year, but it's hardly been used. I'd much rather listen to chatter and my 3.5" tail. I'm thinking of putting the standard head unit and amp back in and putting the kenwood in the Focus.

You can't beat the noise of a cossie!!
