Default Cashing Car Tax Question..

Gonna go and get some money back for my tax a bit later, befor ei go is there anything im gonna need apart from the tax disc itself?

driving license/log book etc?

also does the car automatically become SORN after?

you have to get a form from the post office and send it off.

SORN isn't automatic, think of the money HM Gov would loose out on if it was.
You can apply for SORN online, but not till you've cashed the tax.

Yeah easy to do , tick a box on the form and thats about it , then you get something through the door confirming it

Oh and im sure its on the renewal bit that you get just before the tax is up to renew

its fine it had a section to SORN the car on the form, takes 3 - 6 weeks to get the money though which is a bit rubbish but oh well
