Default FRS Lowering?

Just a quickie!

I've just been on the GGR site and saw some H&R lowering springs (25mm).
I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience of these??
I think the standard set up is great so will there be much difference in suspension performance..... or is it just for looks?

Any advice/comments would be great.
Cheers.

Ideally, u shouldn't alter anything on the Focus RS's suspension setup. But 25mm isn't really much. Anything lower, like mine for example, you will need camber adjusters to setup the car perfectly...

It will imo without a doubt change the suspension for the worse, as the Ford RS developement has has designed and manufactured the car set up to its optimum, and therefore matched the shock and spring rates. That being said, I very much doubt you'll notice the difference, may be a harsher ride but the actual handling difference probably wouldn't be noticeable to the average driver, even on a track day?!

As NathR and I have said in earlier replies, it isn't much of a drop, so it shouldn't effect the handleing much. Ford and Sach spent a long time playing about with the suspension, so the original setting shouldn't be tampered with much with a minor drop like 25mm.

I only have mine lowered about 2 weeks and i can not notice any difference with handling. The ride is slighty more harsher but not too much. Looks 100% better tho IMO. Plus i would say the drop was less than 20mm anyway, maby even only, 15 on the back.

Maybe thats why the rear end can be twitchy some times, I know having the rear end too high than the front end gives you a better turn in but can make the rear twitchy...
