Default FAO Serious Performance.

My two cars below.

What would you recommend for a deep wet look.

Have purchased from your ebay store (The poorboys world)
Yellow with canuba and also the blue polish with the blue wax.

Can you suggest any thing else for a wetter look??

Thanks
Lee

What you have bought so far is a very good start!

You have the two hardest colours to create a deep, wet look though! lol.... For whites and silvers I tend to go more for a highly reflective, wet shine with a sealant on it's own, or topped with the Natty's Blue or a collinite wax.

The Poorboys Blue cleaner and wax are great for a wet finish, and I'd say try the EX (which I believe is what you had also) in between the two and see how it looks.... I think you'll be very happy.

Let me know how you get on .

Yeah, i agree with the EX recommendation, but i would use OCW to top it,really works very well on silver.

No worries.Should look great when finished!

You wouldn't need OCW if already using the Natty's Blue. You'd just be putting another coat of carnauba on effectively ... If you wanted a maintenance product between waxing, then I'd go for the Duragloss Aquawax .... Although it's a spray sealant it works well over other sealants and carnauba's, gives better durability, is VERY quick to use and gives a very wet finish.

OCW, is actually a carnauba/polymer blend,i didn't say anybody needs it,i suggested it's use because it gives a wet finish on silver, and is quick and easy to use,and besides, there is no drawback to layering carnaubas.

Let me rephrase.... It would not be necessary.......

I am familiar with OCW and it's a nice product. I looked into it when it was popular in the States and first started appearing over here. However, I was looking for a more 'complete' range to stock and although Optimum are very good, there wasn't much info around on all the products, where as Duragloss were already proven, and filled the gap I was looking for where I had decided to do away with alot of the Meguiars range...... It also mean't I wasn't just following in other suppliers footsteps.

And your right, there is nothing wrong with layering waxes but, why do it with two different ones when you already have a very wet finishing wax sitting in front of you?

L33 BYT, If you want wetter still, try 'spit shining' the Natty's Blue. Apply the wax to a couple of panels. Don't remove it but, as it starts to haze, spritz it with a QD spray, and then apply a second layer of the Natty's Blue over the top. Then once cured, remove the wax. Many people notice a difference compared to just putting two coats of wax on separately....... Something to try anyway .

Cheers.

True 'spit shining' is for building 'Heavy coats' of wax,and deepening the 'look',or trying to increase durability,it is not strictly for trying to make the finish wetter still;you may gett a deeper 'look',after four or five coats, but not necessarily a wetter 'look'.

True, it will give you a thicker coat but, the 'look' will still be dependent on the characteristics of the wax.

Cheers .
