removing and replacing door locks

Can anyone please tell me how difficult it is to remove the drivers side door lock on an 1990 Series 2 as I need to replace it with a new one.

Remove the door panel and you'll see the lock, remove the rod from the lock then slide the flat metal retaining piece out the way and the lock will pop out, replace is reversal of removal.

Sorry to but in, but i think you will find you need to pull the retaining clip out and then unhook the rod once the barrel is free to move
