Default Concours cars................

Are concours cars totally chip free? Ive been to a few shows before a while ago but never really had a close look to be honest.

The reason i ask is because i have a small chip on my front wing edge and a couple of very minor ones on the bottom of my front bumper, hardly noticable but i know there there. I may have the bumper painted but i cant warrent having the wing done for one minor chip. I dont expect to win anything on my first go obviously but i want it to be the best i can naturally.

How would the point scoring work for these bits? Would it be deductions per chip or per panal? Or am i looking too far into it.

Im a bit in the dark on the whole point scoring system for concours to be honest.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

If the chip bugs you ,then you can get it sorted quite cheaply buy some company called CHIPS AWAY.There are similar companys with different names, but they all do the same job. Will make your chip invisible and is reasonably priced.

Replied on RSOC, but when i had chipsaway round for my Esc Cos, they said due to the colour would be still noticeable, so got bumper sprayed instead, and mine is Auralis.

To be honest ive seen a few of the chips away companies work on cars at work and i wasnt all that impressed really. Might just leave the wing edge as it is and just have the bumper sprayed.

And no abuse yet either!!!! very suprised!!!!

i won working class concourse in 2004 plus 2005 with my 3dr and a couple of chips dont make that much differance on the points as long as the front of the car is not covered in them so dont rush out to get them done as long as the rest of the is very clean i would not fuss about it
here is my 3dr at its prime

A few chips wont make much differance mate as long as the cars paintwork is clean , just simply touch them up and ask the opinion of the judges when at the shows what the feel about your car , and what they nocked you points for , they will tell you and you can imorove on the car as you go along

Good luck

Depend where the are, but I think if you touch them up, i.e on the bonnet they look worse!

I'd get the bumper painted and just touch the wing in tbh and see how you get on

Oh and i've moved it to the correct forum
