My 2 wheel drive sapphire has a slight misfire I start it from cold and it's like it's flooded on 1 cylinder because after a rev it clears. As you drive along sometimes it seems to misfire on boost like a flatspot It's hard to describe but it then clears and off you go. The car generally runs sweet apart from this misfire/flatspot

I've changed the spark plugs, leads, rotor arm & distributor cap but it's not made a difference.

What might it be?

thats what mine did... miss-fired when you first started it but was fine after a rev or a few seconds once it burnt the water lol... but dont quote me im certainly no mechanic lol

 

It's got no other head gasket symptoms and doesn't use water Yet

It's all good apart from a very very minor misfire. The car is very quick, holds temperature etc

I'm probably worrying over nothing. I have got to change the fuel filter though but I'm sure that's not harming it.
