Not neccesary mate unless either:

a) you've got a crap intercooler

or

b) you're running absolutely MAHOOSIVE boost like 30psi+ held

Save your money mate

Got water injection on mine mate.

Fitted it myself and it makes a difference. It does more than just chill the ACT's. My intercooler keeps the temps down very nicely but the car seems to pull stronger with the water injection kit armed than when it's not.

I ran water on my turbo'd XR2 running a std 9.6:1 cast pistons engine and 11psi - 1/4miles and top speed runs included. Im certain that without it it would have melted.

there's more to WI than just charge temps imo.

Had it on my 4x4 race car
cooled intake charge from 66 degrees C to around 31 at 33 psi held and a Big Pace intercooler
Fitted myself, got the kit from PTS at a very good price

I'm more than happy that it lets me run big boost. I don't know of too many RST's running CVH engines that are doing 25psi of boost.

I wouldn't want to be without it. As somebody said above water injection is more than just about ACT's

Oranoco, Jakes and Olis both run up to 30psi, both on CVH's (and thats 30psi with a T34) without WI and on the go see no more than 40DegC ACT's.

Very true Karl but those cars are somewhat special are they not?

As I said there aren't many CVH's running that sort of boost levels reliably.
