Default HOW MUCH MONEY HAVE YOU PLOUGHED INTO YOUR RS TURBO?

Admitedly i have not payed for any of the work done to my rs,i managed to save a nice bit of cash this week,but as usual i save up a bit of money for something else and then something needs doing on the car just had to get 2 new tyres for the rs which came to £120,not something you want to spend when your trying to sell it.but these things have to be done,doing a bit of overtime this week to buy some new clothes,you can bet your life im gonna have to get something else for it

rs turbos must be the worst car to make your money back when you sell it,mines had over £10,000 spent on it but theres no way your even gonna get half of that back cos a lot of people still think its nothing more than a d reg escort

Agree Paul. I wouldnt sped no where near that on a RST. Even if i thought id get the money back i just cant see what 10k would do for it!!!! You cant include running costs into the money spent on a car as thats normal. But if 10k is just mods then it would be one of the best RSTs available!

And if ranj spent 14k on mods then it would be THE best imo. Never saw owt of it tho ranj??????

So far I've only spent £90 on tac for mine

My mates S2 has had £18-£19 THOUSAND spent on it and it ain't even finished :eek

That includes;

full car bare metal respray (colour change)
2.1ZVH built
stg3 turbo
MAD head
Omex management
Leda coilovers
all the engine ancilleries for conversion (plus money for mapping it and setting up at Norris Designs)
alloys + tyres
interior (stripped rear seats out - fully boarded and carpeted, plus replace recaro's with Cobras and harnesses) + guages, fascia panels etc
ice

Still got to do;

cage
brakes
back to norris designs for proper mapping and blues (still on running in set up)

I have spent one or two quid on mine...

Someone has mentioned a figure pretty close to what I have spent so far in this thread. I haven't finished it either as am just running in the engine and waiting for a few bits.

I should have spent it on a Cossie but wanted to do a Series 1 first.

1st about £2000
2nd about £18000
current one £14000 and counting ,

SPA tacho/combined digi speedo, a pedal box , wilwood calipers front and rear, new discs rear and 300mm fronts on ally bells , all new break lines , bias valve , fly off hydrolic hand break lever , perspex for all the windows , new bonnet , front bumper and S1 body kit pluss paint , water injection pumps , lines and WRC injector , all on this week alone thats another £££&^%^**$*&^%

Its even scarier when i do all the work my self , all the pannel prep and paint , welding of tanks , pipes, bracketry , cage and add ons etc ,

would hate toi think how much i would have to pay someone to do it all ( or even some ) for me .

about £15K including buying it. I've had the car over 3 years and spent 15K over that time so it isn't that bad. I will never sell it because I know i'd fuck all and its fast enough to keep me entertained anyway.
