doubt it , i know for definite the mk3 and mk4 sunroofs are different so the chances of a mk5 fitting are very slim !

 

mk5 no....mk4 yes with slight mod and 6 holes i think it was

 

how on earth did you get it to fit , i had to chop over an inch off the runners and still couldnt get it to drop in right , wouldnt go far enough back

 

40mm mine fits ok

ive just chucked a mk4 sunroof out and paid over £50 for a mk3 !!

oh well at least it will fit without any mods

 

so a s2 will fit with 40mill took off wich bit?guessing the rear or the runners

 

i fitted an S2 roof into my S1 without cutting anything just had to re-drill some holes.

was a pain in the arse though, want a proper S1 roof to be sure

 

Im 99.9% sure the glass out of a MK5 fits, the runners etc are different though but they just unscrew.

However though, anything after mk3 is green tint, MK3's have bronze tint.......

 

its not a pain in the ass if you chop the bit off an replicate the end so it is teh same as before.... someone else however have said they didnt chop anything....

try laying the mk3 and mk4 sunroofs together.... the s2 is longer

like i said replicate the end as well dont just hack it off.you have to drill 6 holes as well from memory..

its a piece of cake to do and if you want to be a mug and pay s1 sunroof prices go ahead...mk4's are £10-£20 max in scrappies... i picked mine up from a local breaker for £8 out of a escort estate mk4 and it isnt green tint.

just bid your time and get a good one.
