Default Which polish/wax would give the best finish on Moonstone?

I recently got a Moonstone Silver Puma and proceeded to spend a small fortune on a full set of Megs products in Halfords this weekend and then did the following:

NXT shampoo;
Rinsed & dried;
Claybar + Applicator;
Wiped down;
Stage 2 Polish;
NXT Wax;
Serious buffing.

I am pleased with the overall 'feel' of the paintwork and the car undoubtedly looks better than before but I think I was hoping for more...

Any ideas as to what I should do next, other products to use for a better shine and whether it will get better over time if I keep on shampooing and waxing it?

Going to do the engine bay this weekend...JOY!

fwiw, i found that after washing and polishing my old car a few times,not one after the other, just when it needed it! ( i use AG shampoo and AG SRP) that even just after a wash the car looked really shiny and had a good reflection further enhanced by the polish

Giving the car a mild polish might not be a bad idea if it's not been done before. Then build on that with the Step #2 and the NXT and see how it looks. If your still not impressed then maybe think about changing the Step #2 and the NXT for something different.

Also, are you trying to achieve a 'look'? Either a wet look finish or a highly reflective finish? Silver is a colour where you achieve wet and reflective look quite easily but, a deep gloss won't be quite as easy to get as it would be on a darker colour. If you want highly reflective, then go for a sealant (synthetic wax) as generally these give a brighter finish than a carnauba wax (Your NXT is a sealant but, is more of an all rounder on looks than something a bit more specialised like the Four Star, Prima, Duragloss or even my own brand sealant)......A carnauba based wax will give you the wetter, deeper shine but, sometimes carnauba waxes can mute metallic flake slightly if you go for a deeper finishing wax.

Below are a few pics of my brothers Moonstone Fiesta which was washed with my own brand shampoo, Paint Cleanser and Polymer Sealant..... I like the highly reflective finish on light and metalic colours so thats what I went for.......

Cheers.

Thanks for the tips guys! The Fiesta looks amazing in that first shot..

I guess I'll give it a wash and a wax and if it's no better then I'll seek out some better waxes..
