Will a 90 spec rear spoiler fit on a 89 boot lid?

it will, but u have to drill two holes for the higher of the mounting screws each side.

I've only had the car a few days and its had a full bare shell respray. the previous owner ditched the original spolier as it was sagging. Im unsure on what boot is now in the car, wether its original or was changed to a 90 spec one.

Is there any difference in the boot or a rough guess on how high the holes would be on the 90 spec boot.

Sorry for all the questions.

 

boot is the same apart from the holes. They are prob about 1.5cm higher. It's easy. get the spoiler on car, then u can see where the holes need drilling. I just used 2 stainless steel self tappers, and a load of wax, and it's been perfect

 

not sure if these are any help to you, the top hole is for 90spec and the bottom blanked one is for 88spec
