rear disc conversion

i recently put ebc discs and greenstuff pads on my s2, although it improved the braking does it make a massive difference fitting rear discs with regards to stopping power, if so what bits are needed as i would prefer to buy it individually than shelling out now for a kit from burton power, cheers

New discs (Motor Factors) £18 pair
Pads (used the ones from the scrapyard) £0
H/B Cable £16 (Motor Factors)
Up and running for just over £100 with brake fluid and other little bits and bobs
