Default Killing The RS 2000 4x4

I have over the past few months noticed a lot of negative things written and said about the RS 2000 4x4.

Parts hard to come buy, parts expensive, parts no longer available and the list goes on and on, so the knock on effect is the price the want when selling drops and buyers are not willing to pay a decent price so the number of people wanting this model is reduced. Any part for any car can be either found or made, look at early " classic " cars, this are re-built and restored, a good enginnering workshop can make anything. There are fewer and fewer 4x4s around its one of the rarest RS cars currently available, numbers vary from 300 - 240 currently on the road. Its cheap to buy and run, fun to drive, tuning is easy " ish ", so would it not be an idea to list companies who can provide parts, members who have spares etc, and provide this information to future and current owners, or the way it looks this model will disappear without a trace.

well 4wd is wierd one aint it everyone dont want them due to so many negitive points put down on them. Yet once you got one you realise what a top ride they are. Unfortunately i have had mine forsale for 12months not had anyone lok at it not even a phone call came down to 2000 on price with twin lamps magnex mondeo rims on 71k from new. Due to having to be made to move it or be evicted i had to break it heart stopping. I so didnt want to do it but it had to be done. But on the up side load more parts gone to many parts of the country to keep other ones on the road. But i will be buying another one.

I think the positive thing to take from this tho, is that most are now owned by enthusiasts that know EXACTLY what the car is and should stay

Keep hold of any you've got cos one day they'll be worth money again.

I personally prefer the fact that a car isn't for general consumption, means you got something rare

Look at the Fiesta Supersport [not just cos I'm trying to find one] but when I started to drive, they were just a 1.3 XR2 lookalike, but NOW they're fetching blinding money IF you can find one
