Default Bugger :( Just got 3 points on my license.

There I was, happily poodling off of the slip road onto the A130, at 80 or so, get on, drive about 3 miles without actually watching my Speedo. Next thing I know I've got the old bill with the blues and two's on pulling me over. Knew it was the speed, everything seemed to be going very slowly bar me

Didn't give me an exact speed, just said around 70-90 which was lucky really as I glanced at 100 at one point.

Slap my wrists call me a wanker, but who doesn't do it? everyone does.

Oh well, was a very nice guy and let me off very lightly considering.

3 points and £60 fine.

Could have been far far far worse.

Now, need some help, how do I pay the fine, or do they explain that at the police station. Ta

i would have asked them to prove it!!!

Well he said he had to go over 120 to keep up..

I can only have 6 points on my license, i'd rather walk with 3 than get a ban or me license taken away just because I felt like being awkward.

He did actually say he had the evidence on video (traffic police) and he said if I wanted to dispute it then I can come and watch it back when I go to court for the 116 he caught me at

I laughed and said I'll take the fixed penalty officer, he smiled and then proceeded. I was very lucky to say the least.

he bluffed you mate,if he had it on video he would have taken great delight in showing you the vid and you gettin an automatic ban for doing that speed
i mean why give 3 points when he could have easily banned you and if he was such a nice fella he would have let you off
anyway go see a lawyer, you could still dispute it and say you were put on the spot and didnt really know what you were admitting to,your lawyer will get you off with as theres no real evidence
and even if there is real evidence the copper wont use it as he should have presented that at the time and would prob get his balls kicked for not(and wouldnt stand up in court anyway as you have been done for a different offence etc0

dont need video evidence, a picture, or anything they can do you even if you drive past a copper by the side of the road too quickly.... if in their 'expert opinion' you were speeding you can get a ticket

theres no way that a coppers expert opinion can lead to you getting done for speeding, for a start they need a clocked speed to do you with, they cant just say you were doing roughly this speed
it would get changed to dangerous driving or similar offence but defo not speeding

In this day and age I'd be surprised if 50% of drivers haven't been done for speeding!

If you were speeding and he gave you a fairer deal than for the speed you think you were doing then seems wise just to take it

If you are close to your 2 year time especially...as won't be long until you get the 12 points allowance...

Just a bugger
