Default Any problems buying a Cat D car?

Obviously I'll try and find out why, but is there any problem with getting insurance or anything on a car that is a cat D?

Will it only affect resale?

Yes it'll affect re-sell IMO mate, could be a prefectly good straight car but people will instantly be putt off buying a write-off!

If you get it for a really good price and are either

1, Going to keep it for a LONG LONG time

or

2, Dont mind finding it hard to sell on and will not get much resale value

NO problem at all with buying a cat D registered vehicle as long as it's priced accordingly ie lower than an unrecorded one ;!

like wise when insuring it insure it to what you've roughly paid for it as Insurance Co already know it's had a claim!

ps CAT D could be as little as a cracked front bumper OR even 2 smashed headlights

I think it was to do with the price of the wheels and tyres.....also that most cars were dropped onto the brakes, bodykit ect and possibly damaged that too...

Would of been a big bill back then
