Default Skimming pistons on 2.0 zetec

I have read on a website that the 2 litre pistons cannot be skimmed to lower the compression as they are a weaker material to the 1.8 is this true?

they should be able to run a bar of boost if fuelling is good. or ferriday can machine your head instead of doing ur pistons

i've read somewhere that pistons from a silver top engine are ok to skim as they have thicker crowns than the blacktop ones
