hi everyone new to this website so just getting into it. i wish to fit a series 1 gearbox to my series 2 which as u will know uses the craddle support. i was wondering if anyone could help as im not sure if i will still be able to use the craddle with the series 1 gearbox and if not what i have to do. many thnaks to anyone that gets bk to me .

 

There's no big problem with the cradle after all. Maybe you'll have to change some studs on the gearbox to fit the MK4 cradle.

But you can use a S1 gearbox only in S2 until the end of '86. Then Ford changed the gear selectors!
