Hi what sort of speed does a standard focus rs acheive in 3rd at say 5000rpm or the maximum speed for that gear?

 

Too busy concentrating on the road ahead normally, but I'd guess (in standard spec) it's topping out at about 110mph! Please correct me if I'm wrong, it's just the horizon seems to be coming at me so quick, and the change up light flashes up, grab fourth, hurtle past everyone else as if they're going backwards (was that a Type R?! Heh heh!) and then fifth and I'm pushing 150! On a private road/race track of course!

 

well ive been in ma 8s 1 with 360bhp and it goes up the gears so fk ing fast . . .but we were doing more than 160 1 nite . . .on a private road of course!!!

 

Ok mine tested today at approx 5000rpm in 3rd was around 70-75mph could somebody check theres for me please. Thanks

 

Pretty sure mine does just over 90 in 3rd to the limmiter and just over 130 in 4th.

Yep, I was a bit high with my original guess! Checked today and it hit 96mph in third just as it hit the limiter, private road again of course!
