Lookin to get insured on a mk 6 escort!!!

im jus finishing a 6 month ban for totting up points!!!!

cheapest ive had is £2200!!!

thats fully comp in my name!!!!

can see meself having to go on me mums insurance, but dont particulary want to, anybody no of decent insurance companies that will get me a good quote??

look in back of revs/max power etc for convicted drivers insurance companies, theyre supposedly pretty good

expect to pay a hefty amount for the first year or two mate.

I was only banned for 28 days (careless driving) and my insurance was pretty stupid, especially when I went to insure the cossie.

yep Thames City thats who im with mate, £1200 TPFT on a Sierra Sapphire 1800cc after a ban for the same thing

Im also on my Mums Escort insurance (Churchill) as a named driver. Thats £44 month but the excess is £800 (more than the bloody car's worth)

i got my licence bk in october got 6mth ban for the same thing (tottin up) my insurance only went up about £200 on my rs it costs me £800ish a year tpft through direct line which i didnt think was bad after a ban i have 4 years no claims and im 25 if that makes any differance

my mums been with direct line forever, shes been driving 26years and never had a claim or any points!!!

im 21 and they have said im too young to get insured with them

its fuckin bollox!! i could understand if i had killed someone or been wankered while drivin

looks like im gonna have to break the mk1 as well

i got a quote for 1700 FC, there gonna ring back later so il see what they say with goin tpft

ive been with direct line eva since passin my test at 17 so i think they r feeding u bollox there mate.

i had a fiesta si 16v at 19 then at 20 i had a renault 5 gt turbo at 21 i had escort rs2000 in red then at 22 i had a fiesta rs turbo then at 23 i had my rs2000 in grey which i still have now n they all was insured with direct line

they dont know what they r on about mate unless things av changed

They are talkin bollox mate i insured my cossie from 18 in my name!!! although it did cost £5k if you want to pay the money someone WILL insure you

but lesson to be learnt, dont get banned again matey

i may ring them bsck up and abuse them down the phone then!!!

they said they wouldnt insure because of my age and conviction!!!

there only sp30 ffs

although i did get a pm off Tony from Greenlight, so maybe he may be able to help
