Default Alloy Wheels for Saffy 4x4

I have recently bought a 1990 4x4 and want to store the original 15's and fit some larger alloys and brakes for track days. Does anyone know the recommended offset and pcd.
Can I go 17" x 8" without modding the rear arches? The car is 25mm lower and on Konis at present. What size tyre is best to keep the overall gearing the same?
Anyone selling a set of AP's 4 or 6 pots and discs? Or a cheaper way of getting them for less than a grand.
Any help is much appreciated.
