Default Trying to find my local Motor Club...

Does anyone know if there is an essex or south east Englang motor club?

I'm not talking owners clubs, but a proper motor club that organises Budget Road/Point to Point Rallies and such as I'm interested in competing with the Fez.

Can find clubs for scotland, but cant find any for the south east.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

My Dad is the competition seecretary for Middlesex County - mcac.co.uk

You do realise what a road rally actually is, and that they bear little or no resemblance to a "rally" as you know it?

Two I know of in Essex are Cheltenham Motor Club, and Wickford Motor Club.......

All the regional associations are here with links to the websites.

From your local association you should be able to narrow down to a club that will cater fo your interests, from their member clubs. Some clubs specialise in a particular fields of the sport so you may find that the best one for you is not your nearest.

Unfortunately I'd need to get my national b license before I could enter a sprint.

I'm signing up with the chelmsford motor club asap

AFAIK a speed licence will cover you for a sprint. Thats just simply a case of filling in the form and paying your Ł33. ie No ARDS test is required to be taken.

Race, Rally, and Kart licences all require a written and practical test to be passed.

Licences run from Jan to December so dont do anything now otherwise you will have to pay it all again in January.

If you want to view the form to see what bits you need to do it can be found here (2nd link)

http://www.msauk.org/site/cms/conten...3&category=656

Your local motorclub should help you with all this once you have joined if you ask them Section 3 - The Doctors Medical is also not required if you are uder 45 so that will save you money too

Good Luck with it all
