Was talking to Rapidcossie and he said AVA was mibi fitting one to his mates escos, just something i was thinking of as noone in scotland can map P8.

yeh think it does cost a bit, just trying to find out more about it first. Its just the fact of having to go down south to get the car mapped everytime the spec changes, when AVA is only an hour away.

It could also be the GEMS implant boards that fit in the standard ECU case...

No it isnt. The S8 has more features at less than half the price.

The S8 will be available again early next year from a new company
that has bought the rights.

All will be revealed in a magazine article in the near future

JAM:will wait till i get home from work on the 12th then give AVA a phone to talk about my options, either that or get it booked back in at MSD.

Anyone know if the new company that is taking over the S8 is going to give back up for the ones already sold.

Default collins ecu

i run a collins ecu in my 3 door
just over 500bhp but only had one mapping session so far by pts luton.

when i collected the car though i asked if my pectel 12 point ajustable boost switch still worked the air injectors and was told dont know!!

so i road tested the car and it nolonger has ajustable boost controll so it is running 32psi constantly

so i dont bother driving it when its raining

as for all of the features listed for the ecu i will probably only use half off them.

collins told me it would do lamda controll but its narrow band not wide band so waste off time.
wish now i would have saved my pennies and gone for a pectel t6 2000

no they go in the footwell behind the kickplate but sure the cases are the same. Think the colins ecu has to be fitted into an original case, then its plug and play

looks like i better get on the look out for a cheap ecu then, as the p8's go for too good money to start taking to bits.
So just to be sure does any one know for sure if the all the cosworth ecu cases are the same?
