Had a shot of my mates one. Had a stroker kit ect and was bloddy quick. Only fault i could find was that compared to the cossie the gear ratios were alot shorter so seemed like i was forever changin gear. Top motor though.

Weapon...... is the best word to use...

I have driven alot but also fixed alot as well......

Gearboxes, diffs, and clutches are the weak point

I had a customer who had 1 that was around 330-350bhp and in 1 year (less than 10,000 miles) I fitted 3 uprated clutches, 1 gearbox, 2 front diffs and 1 rear AYC diff. He drove it as you'd expect soemone would with a car of this type and after this experience i'd never have 1 as the parts and labour on jobs like that far out weigh the actual enjoyment of the car........

Imo it'd be like buying a £2000 Saff cossie............... expect some big bills just around the corner

Evo's are good I had one before my esc cossie, there is nothing wrong with the gear boxes or the diffs, never heard of a box or diff going and I know hundreds of evo owners.

AYC rear diffs YES but not front diffs, the bolts sheer regularly that mount the diff but thats easy enough fixed.

Very fast, very capable car, with good brakes, latest technology compared to the escort cossie, recommend.

Evo 6 is the nicest looking evo.. Specialy the TM version..
I was talkin' to a guy yesterday at MC Donnalds, he also has an evo 6, whas parked outside.. He said the only thing that was bad on the car was the little fuel tank.. 40 liters or so?

Think he means the dash is well ugly, and i'd have to agree. I've never liked interiors of Jap cars, just poor quality plain and boring IMO.

Evo 6's are awesome, probz the best looking ever IMO (TME) is a cracker.

Any1 seen the NORRIS evo, i had a video of it a while ago doing 187mph or something around that speed!

My mate had one and and for the money I was a bit disapointed with the interior especially the dash. There is too much plastic for a rally bred car and the money. Put next to his house mates FTO, the dash was more reminisant of the FTO not a 30,000 (as he paid for it new) Evo 6. Having said that of all the EVO's it definately has the best lines and the prices are a lot more affordable for joe public now, 5 or so years on from there launch.
