Smokes when backing off???

Default Smokes when backing off???

Can anyone advise me to what this could be.
I went to view a cossie which i really liked the car was spot on,but when you back off the gas after hard driving it puffed out some white smoke? it dos'ent smoke whilst driving only when you back off? Its just had top end rebuild,group a gasket etc, CAN anyone help?

turbo or stem seals???

when it had the top end rebuild did they do valve stem seals/guides?

btw most cossies smoke a bit when given some stick!

mine did it for about 3 months after a head gasket change ,but like you say only when coming off the gas.It dont do it anymore must have fixed its self

Just sounds like your average cossie puff to me. Just be sure it's not there when u boot it up or it could turn out to be expensive.

My rs Turbo was blowin smoke when you lifted off and on the throttle.Not every time though ,just when it felt like it and it was using oil big time.It was the turbo that had gone.Wish I had done it before I ripped the engine out on the advice of an expert and changed the rings,big ends and mains.
