I have just bought myself a lovely 4 branch manifold for my 2 ltr Zetec, it comes with a Decat, and has the bosses for the lamda sensors... It looks the nuts and the build quality is top notch. BUT on no2 downpipe there is small diameter pipe that is approx 20cm long and comes off at almost a right angle, the end of the pipe is externally threaded. I cant work out what is supposed to attach to it (if anything). Anyone got any ideas?

It sounds to me like its for attaching a heat shield to the top of the manifold. However if it is that, you should really have another one on pipe 3 or 4 of the manifold
